BIO

GXDRL Black&White Still

Gadriel Ramos, known as GXDRL, is a multi-hyphenated artist, singer-songwriter, actor, director, and producer.

A Canary Islander born abroad, Gadriel came to the U.S. early in his life with his family taking root in Northern Virginia. Ramos began his artistic journey from a very young age; acting, performing, and singing at local dinner theaters and churches. He gained acting scholarships upon graduating high school but opted to join the U.S. Air Force taking a more independent route to his dreams. Serving a full enlistment, Gadriel separated from the military in 2015 honorably and transitioned into a full time artist, landing a role on the AMC television series Turn: Washington’s Spies where he played a Continental soldier in the Revolutionary War.

Following up, in 2016, he took his pursuits to Los Angeles where he met fellow Virginia native Collins Chibueze aka Shaboozey, and started working as his creative director up until 2018. The creation of Winning Streak, Shaboozey’s biggest single at the time, marked a pivotal moment in his career, leading to a record deal with Republic Records. This milestone was the result of collaborative songwriting efforts with Gadriel, Nevin Sastry, and Boozey, showcasing their collective artistry and innovation.

During this period, Gadriel was also fortunate enough to be around the likes of Post Malone, Ariana Grande, and The Weeknd, developing his creative prowess and ultimately giving him the perspective and know-how necessary to pursue his own music career successfully. Building up momentum, Gadriel began crafting his sonics, heavily inspired by his relationship and conversations with Post, spending the better part of 3 years creating what is now his signature sound which is undeniably reminiscent of Trap/Pop pioneers. This deep exploration not only mirrored the essence of Post and his peers but also equipped Gadriel with the vision and mastery to carve out his own path and thrive in the music industry.

In 2022, Ramos connected with the Los Angeles based label and collective, 11:11 RECORDS, which recognized his potential and welcomed him as a rising star. Under the label’s wing, he began perfecting his unique sound, leading to the release of Goth Party on October 28, 2024. This release not only showcased his dynamic artistry but also set the stage for his heavily anticipated debut album, expected to release in late 2025. Gadriel is set to star as Rocco Ponte on the new Amazon Prime show Mob Mentality.
